The long wait

Last night, our generation (in the Tan Alim family) finally had a long overdue reunion. It wasn't as complete as I had hope it would be, with Irip and his family in London, and a few of the cousins not making it, but the majority was there and it was so much fun. The reunion included our generation and the generation after (our children), and guests Kuya Edmun and Sharon. Angie and her family were there, and so were Dedette (in her first trip to the Philippines since leaving in 1989 or 1990) and her family. Kathy made it from Thailand, and Anna was able to come late after work. Now that I think about it, the only cousin missing were Irip and Joseph. Considering how difficult it is to get us cousins together, last night's dinner was a major feat. My only regret was that we weren't able to take pictures of the entire group for posterity. Still, there are a couple of pictures to share, which I will post after this. It kind of saddens me to think that it could be a long time before we could ever do this, if ever, but for all the fun we had last night, the long wait would be worth it. But maybe the wait won't be too long too.
We are trying to get everyone possible together again for a swimming trip to Pansol. I hope things work out. That would be fun.
